ILKIDINGA CULTURAL & NATURE WALK
Ilkidinga is a small village set on the slopes of Mount Meru at an elevation of 1741 meters above sea level and about 30 minutes’ drive from Arusha City. The village is dominantly populated by the WaArusha, a sub-set of the Maasai tribe. Despite their use of the Maasai vernacular, the WaArusha are said to have Pare and Meru origins, and unlike their nomadic cousins, the WaArusha practice agriculture. The slopes have a beautiful rainforest with stunning views of mountain landscapes will guarantee a breathtaking experience. The area is rich in history, culture and wildlife.
