Maasai villages and activities are numerous and spread out throughout Arusha City, but the most interesting of all are their markets. In different parts of Arusha 6 days a week, there are Maasai village markets conducted to allow trade, circulation and movement within different Maasai communities. They meet up and trade livestock, medicine, food, art, clothing and they also socialize to share news from their different communities. These markets are spread out and alternate each other. Some of the more popular ones include; Duka Bovu (Tuesday), Kisongo (Wednesday), Ngaramtoni (Thursday), Kikatiti (Friday) Oldonyo Sambu (Saturday) Ngaramtoni (Sunday).
